After a tumultuous year that included Brexit, gas and heavy goods vehicle (HGV) driver shortages and an overburdened health system struggling to keep up with the impact of the pandemic, worries amongst the UK population about access to prescriptions and medicine are high.
When asked to select factors which could potentially threaten their ability to access medications and prescriptions, the most cited potential cause for concern is Brexit or border issues (53%).
In Northern Ireland, where the EU border lies, this number rises to 69% who are worried about Brexit and border issues potentially delaying access to medicine.
